Answers To Some Commonly Asked Questions:

1. How do I know if I am a good candidate for Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that has been shown to be beneficial for a variety of health conditions, to release anxiety, and aid in relaxation. Anyone that is open to Reiki can benefit from it. Anything that has energy can benefit, including the elderly, children, pregnant women, animals, and even plants.

If you are considering Reiki treatment, there are a few things you can do to determine if you are a good candidate:

• Do your research. There are many different Reiki practitioners, so it is important to do your research and find one that you feel comfortable with.

• Be open-minded. Reiki is a different type of healing than traditional medicine, so it is important to be open-minded and willing to experience it.

If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to talk to your Reiki practitioner.

Here are some of the health conditions that Reiki may be beneficial for:

• Chronic pain
• Insomnia
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Headaches
• Nausea

Reiki can also help to improve overall well-being and promote relaxation. If you are looking for a natural way to improve your health, Reiki may be a good option for you.

2. How often should I get Reiki treatments?

The frequency of Reiki treatments depends on your individual needs and goals. If you are new to Reiki, it is a good idea to start with a series of three to six treatments. This will give you a chance to experience the benefits of Reiki and to see if it is a good fit for you. Once you have had a few treatments, you can talk to your Reiki practitioner about how often you should receive treatments.

There is no right or wrong answer to the question of how often you should get Reiki treatments. The best way to determine the right frequency for you is to listen to your body and to what your intuition is telling you. If you feel like you need a treatment, then go ahead and schedule one. If you don't feel like you need a treatment, then don't force yourself.

Here are some factors to consider when deciding how often to get Reiki treatments:

• Your health goals. What are you hoping to achieve with Reiki? If you are hoping to relieve pain, you may need to receive treatments more often than if you are simply looking for relaxation.
• Your lifestyle. If you have a busy lifestyle, you may not have time to receive treatments every week. In this case, you may want to consider receiving treatments once a month or once every two weeks.

Ultimately, the decision of how often to get Reiki treatments is up to you. There is no right or wrong answer, and the best way to find the right frequency for you is to listen to your body and to your intuition.

3. What is Reiki?

Reiki (Rey-Kee) is an energy healing practice that has been around for many thousands of years, predating most religions, and rediscovered in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in mid 19th century. It is based on language of sacred symbols and the belief that life energy flows through the body and that we can harness and channel this energy to promote healing. Reiki is a non-invasive form of treatment that involves the practitioner placing their hands on or near the body, allowing energy to flow from them. The recipient may feel sensations such as warmth, tingling, or pulsing, as the energy flows through them.

The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life force energy). Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, and safe form of healing that can be used to treat a variety of physical, emotional, and spiritual problems.

Reiki treatment sessions vary in length and are typically between 15 minutes and one hour long and involve the practitioner placing their hands on or near the patient's body. The practitioner may also use visualization or other techniques to channel the energy. Reiki treatments are often described as feeling warm, tingling, or relaxing.

Many people who have received Reiki treatments report feeling better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Reiki is a complementary therapy, which means it is used in addition to traditional medical treatment.

If you are looking for a natural way to improve your health, Reiki may be a good option for you.

About Your Reiki Session:

How to prepare for your Reiki Session

  • Dress comfortably, you do not want to be distracted by tight clothes.
  • Hydrate, drink plenty of water and little to no caffeine. A well hydrated body helps with the releasing of toxins. Water has an incredible way of holding onto energy and our bodies are mostly water, so hydration is important.

How to prepare for your Distance Reiki Session

  • Be ready to begin at the agreed upon time.
  • Just as with an in-person session you will want to dress comfortably.
  • Choose a quiet place that is free of distractions where you can sit or lie and relax, maybe have some soothing music playing, and if you have crystals, hold your favorites during the session so they will receive the energy as well.

Before your session begins

Have an intention.  What would you like to achieve during the session? Relaxation? Release tension? Do you have a chronic condition you want to help your body to heal from? Do you need clarity on a decision you need to make? The possibilities are endless.

What to expect during your session

During your session, you will be either sitting or lying down. Relaxing music will play in the background and depending on what I am led to do, I will either walk you through a guided meditation or just stay quiet while I work. You should experience a great sense of calm and relaxation from the Reiki. I have had people say they feel like they have just had a massage, and that their bodies feel lighter. The more open you are to the experience, the more you will get out of it. You may also feel the difference for days to come. It truly is an amazing sensation.
